  • 3 A-Levels or equivalent, minimum grade C, with relevant employer-led work experience, OR
  • Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in a relevant occupation including business administration, legal services, providing financial services.

Please note it is our intention to recruit a candidate who meets the above academic achievements. When the course starts you will complete 1 day per week at university (remotely) and work 4 days per week in our offices.

We regret that candidates who seek exemptions from the full apprenticeship training programme will not be considered for this role.  Therefore, those people who are part-way through a degree or qualification that qualifies for an exemption against the full 5/6 year training should not apply.

For details of the job profile of a solicitor and the requirements of the apprenticeship standard, please go to https://www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/apprenticeship-standards/?  Details of the solicitor standard can be found under reference number ST0246.

The standard is based on the SRA’s Statement of Solicitor Competence.  Achievement of the standard and the associated apprenticeship assessment plan will satisfy the SRA’s regulatory framework for qualification as a solicitor, subject to the SRA’s usual tests of character and suitability.

Professional/academic and personal references will be required and the successful candidate will undergo a DBS check.
